東京・代官山の翻訳会社「イデア・インスティテュート」のオンラインストアです。
イデア・インスティテュートでは、毎年一冊「日本文化」をテーマにした絵本を社内で企画し、翻訳、デザイン・DTP編集を行い制作しています。

絵本を通じて、日本の歴史や風土、さらには日本人の考え方を世界中の多くの人にお伝えしようと、1997年から発行を続けております。

日本語に加え、英語・スペイン語・中国語などの多言語表記は、絵とともに視覚的にも興味深く、世代を超えた多くの方々にご愛読いただいております。

2026年より英語学習絵本の制作と販売を開始しました。主に小学生の英語学習での活用を想定し、日本文化や世界の文化の違いを楽しみながら学べる内容となっております。紙の書籍と電子版それぞれに英語音声がついており、ストーリーを見て読んで聞いてお楽しみいただけます。

Welcome to the online store of Idea Institute, a translation company based in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
Every year, we plan and produce a picture book related to the theme of Japanese culture in-house, handling everything from translation and design to DTP and editing.

We began this project in 1997 out of a desire to share Japanese history, culture, and philosophical concepts with many people around the world through illustrated books.

Along with the illustrations, the multilingual text in Japanese as well as other languages like English, Spanish, and Chinese makes the books interesting to look at and has won them many fans among readers of all ages.

In 2026, we also produced and launched sales of our first English-learning picture book. It is primarily aimed at elementary school students and allows them to learn English while appreciating the differences between Japanese culture and other cultures. Both the printed book and e-book include English audio so that learners can enjoy the story by reading, listening, and looking at the pictures.
