This book introduces the life and times of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the father of the modern Olympic Games, along with his connections to Japan.
By traveling back in time to the origins of the modern Olympics, the book examines their significance and historical context. It also describes Coubertin’s meeting with Jigoro Kano, the founder of the Japanese Olympic movement.
